This drink is an acknowledgement of our alliance with the foundation, representing local products from France in honor of Jacques…and of course my beloved Mezcal, the indigenous spirit from Oaxaca. L’Alliance / La Alianza Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ ounces Mezcal, such as Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal Vida de San Luis del Rio
  • 1 ounce Lillet Rosé
  • ½ ounce Suze
  • Wide strip of grapefruit peel

Method

  1. In a tall mixing glass, combine the Mezcal, Lillet, and Suze; add ice and stir thoroughly. Carefully drop a large ice cube into a double old-fashioned glass and strain over the cocktail; garnish with the grapefruit peel. Serve immediately.
